Is Fitbit Luxe Waterproof?

Well, on the Fitbit official website, the answer to this question is not entirely yes. Your Fitbit Luxe is not waterproof. Instead, the device is water-resistant. Just like the Samsung S22 and the iPhone 13 are water-resistant not waterproof.

Your device comes equipped with a water resistance rating which helps it to survive a sweaty workout or swim in a pool. Generally, most Fitbit devices are water-resistant to 50 meters. However, you should note that water resistance may diminish over time and can be negatively impacted by dropping the device, exposing it to soaps, shampoos, conditioners, perfume, insect repellent, lotions, and high-velocity water.

 

What to Do When your Fitbit Luxe Gets Wet

If your device gets wet, you should take it off and dry it well before putting it back on. In case it comes in contact with any liquid or other than freshwater,  you should clean it with fresh water and dry it with a lint-free cloth.

Can I Swim or Shower with My Fitbit Luxe?

Yes, you can shower or swim with your device. However, you should also know that not taking your device to the shower reduces the potential for exposure to soaps, shampoos, and conditioners which can cause long-term damage to it. Fitbit Luxe Water Lock

You need to turn on the water lock to prevent your device screen from activating when you are showering or swimming. When the water lock is on, your screen locks, and the water lock icon appears at the bottom. Both notification and alarm will still appear on your tracker, but you must unlock your screen to interact with them

How to Turn on Fitbit Luxe water Lock

To turn on the water lock, tap swipe down from the clock screen > tap Water Lock > firmly tap your screen twice. To turn off the water lock, firmly double-tap the middle of the screen with your finger. If you don’t see the “Unlocked” appear on the screen, try tapping harder. You should also note that the water lock turns on automatically when you start a swim in the Exercise app.
