There is 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network. To navigate to the network settings, slide your finger from the top of the screen down, and the shortcut to the settings will be displayed. The antenna symbol represents the Hotspot and it must be Blue . If not tap on it.

Step 2: On your Samsung Galaxy settings, click Wireless and networks” or “Connections” and then click on “More“.

Step 3: Next click on “Tethering and portable hotspot“.

Step 4: In this step, you have to activate the portable Wi-Fi hotspot in your Samsung and then click on “Set up Wi-Fi hotspot“, You can now rename your hotspot, choose the type of security. WPA2 PSK is recommended and after that type, in the password, you want to use for your hotspot security.

Ensure you put in something you can easily remember. This password is essential as it will prevent unauthorized third parties from using your WiFi networks and consuming your data and at the same time may be putting you in danger.

Step 5: Finally, click on save and configure it and share it with anyone you so much desired.

Samsung Galaxy Hotspot Not Working: Solved

Well, this can happen sometimes and if this is the case with your Samsung Galaxy, below is how to fix it.

1. Force Restart Your Samsung

Step 1: Press and hold the Volume Down button and don’t release it yet.

Step 2: While holding it, press and hold the Power key as well.

Step 3: Continue holding both keys together until the Samsung logo appears.

2. Reset the Network Settings of Your Samsung Galaxy

Step 1: Swipe down from the top of the screen to pull the notification panel down.

Step 2: On the upper right corner, tap the Settings icon

Step 3: Scroll to and tap General management.

Step 3: Now tap the Reset.

Step 4: If prompted, enter your PIN, Password, or Pattern.

Step 5: Lastly tap on Reset.

3. Wipe the Cache Partition of your Samsung Galaxy

Step 1: Turn off the phone

Step 2: Press and hold the Volume Up and Power keys.

Step 3: When the Samsung logo appears, release the key.

Step 4: Your device will now continue to boot up into the Recovery Mode. After you will see a black screen with blue and yellow texts, proceed to the next step.

Step 5: Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.

Step 6: Press the Power key to select.

Step 7: Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, and then press the Power key to select.

Step 8: When the wipe cache partition is complete, you will see the Reboot system now highlighted.

Step 9: Just press the Power key to restart the device.

4. Reset Your Samsung Galaxy

Doing this will wipe your files and data. If you really need the hotspot on, then it’s time to perform a hard reset. Just make sure you backup your important files and data.

Step 1: Turn off the phone.

Step 2: Press and hold the Volume Up and Power keys.

Step 3: When the Samsung logo appears, release the keys.

Step 4: Your Samsung will continue to boot up into the Recovery Mode. When you see a black screen with blue and yellow texts, proceed to the next step.

Step 5: Press the Volume down key several times to highlight ‘wipe data/factory reset’.

Step 6: Press the Power button to select.

Step 7: Press the Volume down key until ‘Yes’ is highlighted.

Step 8: Press the Power button to select and start the master reset

Step 9: When the data factory reset is complete, you will see the Reboot system now highlighted.

Step 10: Just press the Power key to restart the device.

That’s all. The hotspot should now be working fine on your Samsung phone.
