In the era of Playstations, we can’t forget PSP! So, here are the top 10 best PSP games of all time for all PSP lovers out there.
Playstation has made a name for itself as one of the best gaming Console creators in the world. And as much as we all love to play games on a big screen backed with an equally powerful processing system, sometimes playing on the go is more suitable for many of us.
PlayStation has got just the thing to make it possible while keeping the quality as crunchy as possible within a small size. There have been a number of popular games made for PSP and with the start of the year 2022, that number seems to be hitting new heights. So, here are the top 10 PSP games of all time that you just can’t afford to miss!
Shin MegamiTensei: Persona 3
Persona is one of the most unique RPG games out there where you get to play as a schoolboy who has joined a secret society that fights the evil forces of darkness that is a threat to the whole world. You get to live two different lives, one as an ordinary schoolboy with all the boyish errands and the other where you have to be the savior of earth.
You get to fight a plethora of evil monsters while keeping your relationships healthy with all your friends. The game is a mix of a visual novel with insanely awesome RPG mechanics to keep you occupied for hours!
2. God of War: Chains of Olympus
Moving on to my favorite PSP titles of all time, we have God of War: Chains of Olympus. Now most of you already know just how great this franchise really is whether is on Consoles or PC, God of War is an absolute winner! Chains of Olympus might be a little old, but it’s is just as thrilling as any other GOW title and you can play it on the go!
As Kratos, ex-Spartan, your only task in this game is to destroy Ares, the God of War but to do that you have to grind through some of the most merciless environments and fight colossal bosses! Definitely, one of the best games to play on your PSP.
3. Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions
It’s time we jumped on some tactical battles and what better choice do we have other than Final Fantasy Tactics: the war of the Lions. This game is considered to be one of the best strategy games on a portable platform such as PSP.
It came out all the way back in 2007, which makes it a little too difficult to find but if you manage to get your hands on this masterpiece, I think you will be more than satisfied!
4. Burnout Legends
Racing Games have always had that special place in our hearts that no other genre could ever replace. And while we love to get that thrill in super HD on a widescreen. Sometimes compact screens with easy controls are just as fun and the best part is, you can have that thrill anywhere, anytime!
Burnout Legends made a name for itself as one of the best racing games, especially for PSP, since no other racing game could offer the features that this game did. With around 10 different game modes and more than 90 unique cars, this game made sure players got hooked to it!
5. Ridge Racers
Since we are on the topic of racing games, Ridge Racers deserves to be on this list. It’s classic arcade racing that features some of the best racing modes I’ve seen in a while. From racing against time to taking close corners in your face off against some of the best racers in the world, there’s quite a lot to do in this game.
With a plethora of racing tracks and a slew of amazing rides, you have quite some exploring to do. It’s one of the best racing games developed for handheld platforms that still remains relevant to this day and if you are into the arcade racing genre, this might just be the one for you. It’s a little difficult to find one these days, but some cheapest games sites still have some good deals on Ridge Racers.
6. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
This list just can’t be completed without the presence of the gaming world’s one of the defining titles, Grand Theft Auto! And while I know we are living in times of GTA 5, when it comes to PSP, Chinatown still remains to be one of the most fun titles of all!
You get to explore a vast open-world filled with crimes and you get to be the center of it all. With a plethora of vehicles to drive around and a slew of weapons to destroy the law, GTA Chinatown is a full package to keep you occupied for hours.
7. Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker
Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker makes its way to our list with the promise of providing unique gameplay with new characters and stunningly awesome visuals. The game lets you play both solo and co-op missions with other players in multiplayer mode, which is always more fun but equally challenging as well.
Just like other MG games, we have seen previously, there’s a ton of content for you to keep yourself occupied and entertained at the same time. Definitely a title worth putting down your list of best PSPs games to play!
The next game on this list is probably the most unique one. It’s one of my personal favorite titles that had me playing for hours every single day. N+ is a 2d platformer, unlike anything you have ever seen. In this game, you play as a Ninja with a simple goal that is to just reach the finish line without dying.
Now, in order to reach there, you have to cross a plethora of obstacles using only your running and jumping abilities. But be careful, the faster you run, the more momentum you gain which will thrust you towards your destination but a little more can cause you to hit a mine!
9. Tekken: Dark Ressurection
Tekken has become one of the best fighting game series of all time, due to its intense fighting with an incredibly long list of moves and combos that keep you at the edge of your seat the whole time around. And so, I can’t let this awesome Tekken PSP title slip out of my hand.
Tekken: Dark Ressurection comes packed with over 30 different characters, with some new characters in the franchise as well. It also offers a great multiplayer experience as well, where you can challenge your friends to an intense round of punches and kicks. The graphics on this game look pretty amazing, to say the least!
Have you played Jak& Daxter on PS2? Well, if you have, you would know just how entertaining this platformer actually is. Luckily, we have a worthy spin-off of this game named Daxter that features similar gameplay but with quite some changes to keep the experience refreshing for the new players.
It’s a 3D platformer-shooter game that puts you in the shoes of Ocelot, who is on the mission to save his friend Jak from the evil forces. The game features a nice story, although, most of the time, you wouldn’t get what the characters are on about.
Last but definitely not least, we have Lumines, a challenging puzzle game that puts your puzzles solving skills to the ultimate test. This tetris-inspired puzzles game is unlike anything you have seen before. It combines visuals with sound to produce a rather satisfying experience that will keep you busy for a while.
You can buy Lumines Remasteredversion to have an even better experience and the game is available for as low as 1.5 US dollars on some gaming sites.
