Well, out of curiosity some still want to know if this budget phone from Samsung has that features. We got you covered and below is the answer to your question.

Is Samsung Galax A21, A21S Waterproof, And Water Resistant?

Well, any smartphone that has waterproof always comes with an IP rating. Some packs IP67 while others have an IP68 rating. The IP68 means your device can be submerged in 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes.

The IP68 rating has improved and is mostly found on flagship phones and since the Samsung Galaxy A21 and A21s are both budget phones, they lack IP68 rating. This means there is no feature like waterproof and water-resistant. You can get a waterproof case for your phone so as to prevent any damage by water.

Yesterday i was walking around and a massive downpour caught me off guard, when i finally got under a roof of bus station i took my phone – 3 years old Samsung Galaxy A21S, its screen was pink-shaded with some minor artefacts, when i finally got home its screen had a lot of artefacts and after 20 mins a half of the screen was invalid and later the whole screen became unusable. There is nothing but strange colorful lines on it.

That’s just after a rain, a massive rain actually, the phone was located in partly dry partly sodden jeans and i was taking it for maps checking for a few seconds.

So is it really IP68 ??
