The phone is an excellent presentation from the Chinese company parading attractive features such as the pop-up front camera and the under display fingerprint sensor. It’s new and it comes with a powerful processor which will ensure smooth performance on the inside.

The Redmi K20 Pro packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with 6/8 GB RAM and 64/128/256 GB of inbuilt storage. It’s blessed with triple rear cameras that consist of a Sony IMX586 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.75 aperture, a 124.8-degree 12-megapixel superwide camera lens and lastly, is an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture. Unlocking a Bootloader of Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro

The OEM manufacturer has placed some security lock to prevent users from doing changes to the firmware. So in other to make any further changes on your device you will need to unlock your phone bootloader. Unlocking this bootloader will enable you to root your Redmi K20 Pro. It allows you to flash a custom recovery like TWRP and also it gives you the ability to install custom ROMs. There are so many advantages of unlocking your phone bootloader.

How to Unlock the bootloader of Xiaomi Redmi K20

Step 1: Go to your phone settings and enable Developer Mode by heading to the Settings > About Phone >Build Number and tap it seven times

Step 2: Toggle USB Debugging mode, OEM unlock option by going to developer option

Step 3: Now visit Mi unlock site and click “Unlock Now” to apply for unlocking the bootloader.

Step 4: Make sure you fill in all the information they need. Xiaomi will now verify the device by sending the security code to your phone to verify the real owner (This usually take up 72 hours)

Step 5: After receiving the code, you can proceed with the following Step below

Step 6: Download and extract Mi Flash Unlock tool on your PC.

Step 7: After extracting, open MiFlashUnlock.exe file from the folder and tap Agree on the disclaimer page.

Step 8: Open the Mi Unlock tool and sign-in with the mi account you used on your Redmi K20 Pro.

Step 9: Reboot your Redmi K20 Pro into Fastboot mode (Press and hold Power + Volume Down)

Step 10: Connect your PC Redmi K20 Pro with your PC using a USB cable

Step 11: Now, in the middle unlock tool, you should see the “Unlock Now” option.

Step 12: Just press the “Unlock Now” button, and the tool will automatically unlock your Redmi K20 Pro device.

Step 13: On completing the process, you have successfully unlocked the bootloader of your Redmi K20 Pro.

Step 14: Just restart your phone and enjoy.
