Note: The method of unlocking the bootloader of the Poco F1 is the same as other Android phones out there. So in other to proceed, you will need to apply for the bootloader unlock request and for Xiaomi, it normally takes up to 72 hours or even more for the request to be granted. However, there are other methods you can use to bypass the request, but for now, let’s show you how to unlock the bootloader of your Poco F1.

How To Unlock Bootloader of the Poco F1 Bootloader

Hint To Note: Unlocking your bootloader will wipe out all your Data, Files, that is why it’s recommended that you do a thorough backup before proceeding.

Step 1: Visit the MIUI Unlock website and fill out the official bootloader Unlocked request. This normally takes up to 72 hour’s or more for the mi team to accept the request and then send you a code.

Step 2: When you received the code, go to settings < About phone < tap on MIUI Version 7 times to unlock developer mode

Step 3: Now go to Additional settings < Developer options < enable USB Debugging and OEM unlocking

Step 4: Now download the Mi Flashtool on your PC and run it as administrator

Step 5: Sign into your Mi account in the Mi Flashtool and make sure you are also signed in with the same account on your Poco F1 (Go settings < Mi unlock Status < Add Account & Device)

Step 6: Power off the Poco F1 and reboot into Fastboot Mode (Just hold volume down + Power button)

Step 7: Connect your Poco F1 to PC via USB cable and click on the Unlock button in Mi Flashtool.

Step 8: Your Poco F1 will be factory reset and Unlocked, When this process complete, you should launch ADB terminal and check if it was successful by typing: Fastboot OEM device-info

Step 9: Now if your Poco F1 Bootloader was successful Unlocked, the ADB terminal should display Unlocked, but if the reverse is the case, you should repeat the step 7 again. It should be unlocked unless you have a serious issue with your Poco F1 or the software.
