How to Switch to Four-Digit Passcode on iPhone or iPad iOS 15

Step 1: Go to the Settings app and tap on Face ID & Passcode. This will give you the option to enter the six-digit passcode to access this menu.

Step 2: Scroll down and tap on the Change passcode option.

Step 3: Now enter your existing six-digit passcode to continue. You will be now be prompted to enter your new passcode. This will also be a 6 digit passcode, so do not enter it.

Step 4: Next, tap on the Passcode options at the bottom and select the 4-digit numeric code option. This also gives you the option of setting up a custom numeric code or an alphanumeric code.

You should proceed to enter the 4 digit passcode twice and then wait for Apple to update it across its system. Remember, using a simple passcode will be easy to remember but the risk of someone getting access to your phone is high.
