How to Switch to 4 Digit Passcode on iPhone or iPad iOS 15

You should know that it’s possible to switch back to 4 digit passcode on iPhone XR, iPhone XS, Max, and even the new iPhone 13, 13 Pro, and the 13 Pro Max, iPhone 12, 12 Pro, 12 Mini, 12 Pro Max, iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max with other iPhones as well.

How to Switch to Four-Digit Passcode on iPhone or iPad iOS 15

Step 1: Go to the Settings app and tap on Face ID & Passcode. This will give you the option to enter the six-digit passcode to access this menu.

Step 2: Scroll down and tap on the Change passcode option.

Step 3: Now enter your existing six-digit passcode to continue. You will be now be prompted to enter your new passcode. This will also be a 6 digit passcode, so do not enter it.

Step 4: Next, tap on the Passcode options at the bottom and select the 4-digit numeric code option. This also gives you the option of setting up a custom numeric code or an alphanumeric code.

You should proceed to enter the 4 digit passcode twice and then wait for Apple to update it across its system. Remember, using a simple passcode will be easy to remember but the risk of someone getting access to your phone is high.

So you should avoid using the passcode that is easy to guess such as your mobile number or even your date of birth.
