How to see video file size on iPhone & iPad

Although back in iOS 12, we run to a third-party party app to do that. The app even allows you to resize the file as well. Good news, with the new iOS 13, you can see the video size on your iPhone or iPad. This method work’s on the new iOS 13 which means it will only support iPhone 7 and above.

Below is how to check the size of the file on your iPhone or iPad.

Step 1: Open the ‘Shortcuts’ app on your device and tap on the ‘+’ Create Shortcut’ to make a new one.
Step 2: Next, tap on the 3 dots to name the Shortcut and also toggle on the ‘Share Sheet.’
Step 3: Now from the Share Sheet Type, select Media and all the aspect you wish to see the file size like images and the rest and tap Done
Step 4: Then tap on ‘+’ and search for ‘Get details of file’ and select that action.
Step 5: Tap on highlighted ‘Detail’ and select ‘File Size’ from the pop-up.
Step 6: Now set a notification by adding ‘Show Notification Action.’
Step 7: You can change the name to whatever you like and add ‘Details of Filesvariable, and tap on Done.

Now you can open the video of your choice or picture from the ‘Share Sheet’ tap on the shortcut you created. A pop-up will then appear mentioning the size of the video.
