We now have the Unc0ver release for iOS 13 jailbreak. This is for A12-A13 Bionic devices. Initially, we only used the Checkra1n to jailbreak iOS 15 for the public but the only disadvantage is that it only supports iPhone X and older devices.
Now if you own the XR or iPhone 13 /Pro running iOS 15 and want to jailbreak it, here is how. For those that have used the Unc0ver to jailbreak their iPhone, they will be familiar with this process, however, if this is your first time, you can give it a try.
The process to jailbreak your iOS 15 isn’t that hard or techy, just follow the instructions below.
The Unc0ver 4.0 tool only supports the following devices running iOS 13 – iOS 13.3.
- iPhone XR
- iPhone XS
- iPhone XS Max
- iPhone 11 Pro
- iPhone 11 Pro Max
- iPhone 11
Remember, it does not support the iPhone X or older devices even though they’re running on iOS 13.
- You should delete any iOS 13 OTA update file from Settings -> Storage and reboot your iPhone before attempting to jailbreak it.
- Note that Unc0ver jailbreak has complete support for Cydia and Substrate.
- You should make sure to create a backup of all important data on your iPhone before proceeding with the jailbreaking steps.

Step 2: Then click on the AltServer icon from your Mac’s menu bar, select Install AltStar and then proceed to select your iPhone or iPad. This will prompt you to enter your Apple ID credentials during the installation process.
Step 3: The AltStore icon should now show up on the home screen of your iPhone. Now with your device connected to your PC, go to Unc0ver.dev and download the latest version of Unc0ver.
Step 4: Once the download is complete use the “Open In..” option to open the IPA in AltStore. This will initiate the installation process. You might be required to enter your Apple ID credentials during the installation process for certificate signing.
Step 5: Now open the Unc0ver, tap the Jailbreak button and wait for the app to do its job. Your iPhone will then begin to respring during the process after which you will now see the Cydia icon on your home screen.
We understand that it’s possible the jailbreak process will throw an error and fail for you. If that happens, restart your iPhone open the Unc0ver app, and try to jailbreak it again.
The good thing about this Unc0ver 4.0 is that the jailbreak process is a little bit easier and straightforward compared to Checkra1n. We hope you find this helpful and were able to jailbreak your iPhone.
