Method 1: Turn The Ringer Volume

I hope you are aware that your iPhone’s ringer volume is what controls how loud your alarms will sound when it goes off. So the higher the volume the louder the alarm will ring.

Because of this, you have to turn up your iPhone’s ringer volume by going to Settings and tap Sounds & Haptics. The slider under Ringer And Alerts is what controls the ringer volume on your iPhone.  So when you move the slider to the right, the ringer volume will be louder.

Method 2: Set An Alarm Noise

When you create an alarm on your device, you have the option to set a specific tone for it. However, if you select None on the option when your iPhone alarm goes off, you won’t hear any sound.

So if your iPhone alarm is not ringing when it goes off, it’s possible your alarm has been set to None. To make the necessary changes, go to Clock and tap the Alarm tab at the bottom of the screen. Now tap on Edit in the upper left-hand corner and tap on the alarm that’s not working.

Be sure that None isn’t selected as the Sound. If it’s selected, tap Sound and select something else. You should see a small checkmark on the sound you selected. If the tone is okay for you, tap Save in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

How To Snooze An iPhone Alarm

To do this go to Clock and tap edit. Then tap on the alarm you want to edit, then turn on the switch next to Snooze. When the Snooze is finally on, you’ll see an option to snooze the alarm as soon as it goes off.

You have the option to tap the Snooze button on your iPhone Home screen or press the volume down button.

Method 3: Update Your iPhone

Updating your iPhone is another great way to fix iPhone alarm not working or no sound. This is because an update always fixes minor software bugs. As you know, Apple keeps releasing updates from time to time.

To check if an update is available for you, go to Settings and tap General -> Software Update. Tap Download and Install if an update is pending.

Method 4: Reset All Settings

If deep software problem is causing your iPhone alarm not to ring or make sound, then resetting your settings will do the magic. When you reset all settings on your iPhone, everything in the settings app will restore to factory default.

This is to say, you’ll have to pair Bluetooth devices again and also enter your WiFi password. To reset your iPhone Settings, go to Settings and tap General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Tap Reset All Settings to confirm the reset.  Your iPhone will then reboot when the reset is complete.

Method 5: Put Your iPhone In DFU Mode

If the problem is from software, then the last step to take is to put your iPhone in DFI Mode. A DFU mode is the deepest part of iPhone restore and in most cases, it fixes any kind of software problem on the iPhone.

Before you proceed, it’s recommended that you backup your iPhone so you don’t lose your data and other information. You can check our tutorials on how to put an iPhone in DFU mode.

Method 6: Repair Options

If your iPhone is still not working after following the methods above, then it’s time to repair it. The problem is definitely from the hardware and there is nothing you can do here but to take it to Apple Genius bar for repair. You can book an appointment with Apple and have your iPhone check.

Conclusion:

Hopefully, the alarm clock on your iPhone is now working. The guide we provided above is applicable to all iPhones. Including iOS 13 such as the iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, the iPhone SE 2020, and other iPhones with a home button like iPhone 8, iPhone 7, iPhone 6, and more.
