How to Disable Compact Calls on iPhone iOS 15
In iOS 15, Apple still brings in the persistent call banners instead of full-screen notifications. This is to say, whenever your iPhone is unlocked, regulars calls, FaceTime, and third-party VoIP incoming calls will appear in a compact, small space at the top of your screen.
This is a new UI compact call feature and it’s turned On by default. However, if you don’t find this feature attractive and preferred the old big contact picture in incoming calls, below is how to enable it in iOS 15.
Disable Compact Calls & Enable Full-Screen Incoming Calls on iPhone in iOS 15
Step 1: Open the Settings app on your iOS 15 device.
Step 2: Then scroll down and tap on Phone.
Step 3: Tap on Incoming Calls.
Step 4: Here select Full Screen.
Done and from now on, all incoming calls whenever your iPhone is unlocked will take the full screen just as it does on the iOS 13 and the former. You should know that all incoming calls when the device is locked still take the full screen which is a good thing.
Disable Compact Calls & Enable Full-Screen FaceTime Calls in iOS 15 and iPadOS 15
Step 1: Open the Settings app on your devices.
Step 2: Tap on FaceTime.
Step 3: Tap on Incoming Calls.
Step 4: Choose Full Screen.
Done and from now on, all incoming calls on apps like Skype, WhatsApp, etc will occupy the full screen.
Wrapping Up:
This is how you can turn off the small screen on all incoming calls and enable full screen when your iPhone is unlocked. The steps are very simple and straightforward and anyone can do it without any issues.
Thank you for this fix. Part of the reason I switched from Android to Iphone was to get AWAY from this feature. It’s an accident waiting to happen when you are driving and can’t find the tiny answer screen. I have almost ran into the back of people/ran off the road trying to answer the phone while driving. Thankfully Apple will let you turn this off.
I’m glad you find it helpful.
