There are a few different ways that you can delete your text messages on your iPhone. So if you have a lot of old texts and want to start fresh, here’s how to do it! 

  •  Tap Settings from the home screen of your phone. 
  • Scroll down and tap Messages. 
  •  Select the message thread that you want deleted and tap Delete. The conversation will be gone forever. 
  •  To delete a single message without deleting the entire conversation, swipe left across the conversation in question until all messages disappear except for one individual message.

 Once this is done, tap Edit at the top right corner of your screen. Then select Select All and then tap Delete at the bottom right corner of your screen. The individual message should be gone now. If not, try selecting Clear Conversation instead of just Clear Message.

 If both methods don’t work, try restarting your phone and trying again later. If none of these methods work, contact Apple Support via email or by calling them directly at 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753).

How Do I Permanently Delete Text Messages From My iPhone 14?

The first thing you need to do is open the text message that you want to delete. To do this, either swipe left or right until you find the message in question and then tap on it. Next, scroll down to the bottom of the screen where there should be a button that says Delete in green letters. 

When you tap this button, a pop-up will appear asking for your confirmation. Click Delete again and that’s it! You’ll notice that your conversation with this person will now have one less text message in it.

If you are looking for another way to remove messages from your iPhone without deleting them from the entire phone altogether, you can use the Edit option at the top of each conversation. Tap Edit and then select all of the messages that you wish to permanently delete by tapping on them one by one or dragging a line over all of them.

 Finally, press Delete. Once again, you’ll get the same popup as before asking if you’re sure about permanently deleting these messages. Confirm once more and they’re gone forever! If you have a lot of conversations that you would like to delete all of the messages from, instead of selecting them individually, try using the Select All button.

Select the messages you want to delete and then tap the button that says Delete. If you’re still having trouble deleting messages, try restarting your device by holding down the power button and sliding to power off before turning it back on again.
