How to delete apps via iPhone XS, XS Max settings

Step 1: Tap on the Settings app from the Home screen.
Step 2: Tap General
Step 3: Tap iPhone Storage
Step 4: Now select the app you want to delete
Step 5: Then tap the option to Offload App or Delete App.

When you select the Offload App option, the app will be deleted but the data and files for that app will be retained. This option allows you to restore your data whenever you install the app again.

As for the Delete App option, it means the app and the data will be deleted permanently.

How to delete third-party apps on iPhone XS, XS Max

If you have any third-party apps on your iPhone XS, XS Max that you are no longer using, you can either delete or uninstall them from your iPhone. Below is how to do that.

Step 1: Softly touch and hold the app icon from the Home screen until it jiggles.
Step 2: Then tap on the X in the upper-left corner of the app you want to delete/uninstall.
Step 3: When prompted, tap Delete to confirm.
Step 4: Finally tap Done when you’re done deleting the app.

Step 1: From the Home screen, tap and hold the app icon lightly until it jiggles.

How to delete apps on iPhone XS, XS Max using iTunes on a computer

If your iPhone XS, XS Max is stuck or unresponsive due to app problem, the method above will not work to delete the app. This means you will have to use iTunes so you can access your iPhone from the computer and then delete the app.

To begin, make sure you have the latest iTunes installed on your system and also make sure your iPhone XS, XS Max is running on the latest iOS version. Now follow the steps below.

Step 1: Plug your iPhone XS, XS Max, into your computer using micro USB.
Step 2: When connected, open iTunes on your computer
Step 3: Now select your iPhone XS, XS Max when it appears in iTunes.
Step 4: Click on the Apps under the Settings section located on the left side of the iTunes screen. You should see a list of apps on the right side of the iTunes screen, with Home screens next to it.
Step 5: Double click on a Home screen where you can select the app you want to delete.
Step 6: Now click on the app to delete. You will see a delete sign (X) will appear on the upper left corner of the app icon.
Step 7: Tap on the delete or X sign to confirm the deletion of the app.
Step 8: Finally click on the Apply button from the bottom of the iTunes screen.

Once you are done deleting any apps, reboot your iPhone to fully apply the necessary changes.

How to restore accidentally deleted apps on your iPhone XS, XS Max

If you have accidentally deleted an app from your iPhone XS, XS Max, you can still restore them back by following the steps below.

Step 1: Tap the App Store icon from your Home screen. This will launch the App Store application.
Step 2: Now from the App Store’s main screen, search for the name of the app you want to restore. Just make sure you enter the exact name of the app.
Step 3: Now select the correct name of the built-in app to restore.
Step 4: Then tap on the Cloud icon or Get button to restore the app.
