  • Be able to demonstrate that they have met the English language requirement (normally equivalent to IELTS 6.5) of the university 
  • Not have previously studied at a university level in the UK 
  • Demonstrate academic excellence and potential 
  • Demonstrate a commitment to their own country 
  • Have obtained a first degree of at least upper second-class honors standard 
  • Meet any additional criteria laid down by their chosen university.
