Facebook is an online social media platform and social networking service which is owned by the American company Meta Platforms. Facebook was founded in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg alongside his fellow Harvard College students and roommates namely: Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes.

Facebook can be accessed with devices that have an Internet connection, such as computers, tablets, and smartphones. You have to register on this platform to be able to communicate with people that are also on the platform and also view people’s posts and react to them.

After registering, you can create a profile with information about yourself. Then you can search for your friends on the platform by their usernames, add them by sending them a friend request, and also post text, photos, and multimedia which are shared with any other users who have accepted your friend request. You can also communicate directly with each other via Facebook Messenger, you can join common-interest groups, and receive notifications on the activities of your Facebook friends and the pages you followed.

Also, you can create a new profile with your existing Facebook on other social media platforms that accept it like Instagram by simply logging in with your already existing Facebook logins.
