Common Mobile Phone Problems and their Easy Solutions

Technology can be very unpredictable and no one can ever truly understand it. Sometimes, smartphones can act up without any apparent reason even though you had access to reliable Spectrum mobile plans. Your phone may lag or some apps would crash without any explanation. Such problems can be inconvenient, especially if you don’t know what is causing the issue.

But you are not the only one. Your smartphone is a machine and bugs, viruses, or system crashes can cause it to become dysfunctional. Most of these problems are common and you can find easy solutions for them. Moreover, some proactive setting changes can prevent them from happening in the first place.

#1: Phone Runs Slowly

A slow phone can be one of the most annoying things to happen to anyone. It can become a hurdle in performing even the simplest of tasks. With a slow phone, you might not be able to use apps or even take a picture. So, it is one of the most common issues that many smartphone users can suffer from.

But there can be an easy fix for this. Most older phones can have this problem as they might have slower processors. Moreover, downloading unnecessary apps can also take up space on your RAM. As a result, you can end up with a slow phone. The first thing you should do is delete all the apps you don’t use. Moreover, you can also clean up the cache memory for a quick speed boost.

#2: Battery Drains Quickly

Longer battery life is one of the first things anyone wants in a smartphone. It can be inconvenient if you have to charge your phone twice a day. Moreover, a battery that drains too quickly might not be in its ideal health as well. Unfortunately, this is a problem that most people have to deal with. Other battery-related problems can include slow charging or failure to charge at all.

One of the easiest ways to fix it is to find out which apps use most of your battery. You can go to your phone’s settings and find out. Moreover, you can also check the battery health of your phone. If it is below 80% then you might have to invest in a new one. Another great tip is to not overcharge your battery and remove the plug every time it is sufficiently charged. It can help increase the longevity of your phone’s battery.

#3: Exposure to Moisture

Some of the newer cell phone models are water-proof. But most people still use older models that are at best water-resistant. So, any exposure to water can ruin the IC panels of your phone. It can happen to a lot of people if they were out in the rain or dropped their phones. Instead of panicking, you should know what to do in this situation.

The first thing to remember is to not plug your phone in. Then, you should put it in a rice bag. It can absorb some of the moisture from your phone. Then, you should take it to the official repair service as soon as possible.

#4: Phone Overheats

It can be a common issue with older phones to heat up. This can happen especially if you are gaming or have been talking over the phone for a longer time. Gaming apps can be demanding and can use a lot of your processor and RAM’s capacity. Moreover, you might have downloaded malicious files in the background unknowingly. So, you should give your phone a break whenever you can. Try not to use it when it’s charging and avoid CPU-sucking apps.

#5: Apps Crash or Hang

It is not unusual for an app to start crashing now and then. Most of the time, it might not even be an issue with your phone or your internet connection. So, you should look into other plans like Spectrum packages for a more reliable connection. Sometimes, it can also point towards a software issue.

Most of the time, apps can have a bug that causes it to hang. So, you should check for updates and install them as soon as you can. You can also try clearing up the app data and avoid using too many apps at the same time.
